Hitman is a film adaptation of Eidos and IO Interactive's stealth-action game series Hitman. The movie, like the game, chronicles the exploits of a lone assassin code named as Agent 47. Vin Diesel has signed on to play Agent 47, the titular assassin of the game series, on the big screen. Charles Gordon ( Die Hard) and Adrian Askarieh (the Spy Hunter) will produce the project, along with Eidos vice president of marketing and communications Paul Baldwin. The film is expected to release in 2007. The movie version of the best-selling video game franchise from Eidos and developer IO Interactive is still in production. Vin Diesel's role in the movie has many fans of the original game series heavily concerned, as they do not find him the logical choice to play the silent killer.
