The American Comedy Awards were a group of awards presented annually since 1987 to honor performances and performers in the field of comedy. The last ACA ceremony was held in 2001 under the control of the cable network Comedy Central. The Bad Boys of SNL is a nickname given to a group of actors who often performed together on Saturday Night Live. The members of the group were in what is considered to be the second generation of the show's cast since Lorne Michaels returned as producer in 1985. Where the first generation was more prone to the use of a more subdued form of humor, based largely on wit, the second was known for a wilder, more outrageous fast-paced form of comedy. There was a compilation episode released based on the group's most infamous moments, and they continue to appear in movies together to this day, (with the exception of the now-deceased Chris Farley.)
