The Göteborg Museum of Art at Götaplatsen, Gothenburg, is renowned for its collection of Nordic art from around the close of the 19th century. A must see is the Fürstenberg Gallery, named after an artloving doner. Among the artists one kan mension Carl Larsson, Anders Zorn, P.S. Kröyer. It also houses older and contempory art, both Nordic and international. The Swedish National Museum of Fine Arts, or Nationalmuseum, is located in Stockholm, Sweden. It boasts an impressive art collection due to its benefactors, King Gustav III and Carl Gustaf Tessin. The museum was founded in 1792 as Konglig Museum (Royal Museum), but the building at the current location was opened in 1866. It was at this time that the name Nationalmuseum was bestowed.
