Arthur Poe (usually refered to as simply Mr. Poe) is a fictional character from the A Series of Unfortunate Events book series by Lemony Snicket. He is a banker in charge of the affairs of the Baudelaire orphans. He was their guardian for a short time in The Bad Beginning before it was arranged the Baudelaires would go and live with Count Olaf. His incompetence and self-centeredness in a position of authority make him an instance of the Pointy Haired Boss stock character. ...more on Wikipedia about "Arthur Poe"

The Bald Headed Man (or sometimes Bald Man with Long Nose) is one of Olaf's original troupe. One confusion is that in Book the First, The Bad Beginning, one member of the troupe is listed as the Wart-Faced Man. This character was never mentioned again, but fans believe that this is the Bald-Headed Man, who was once described at the end of The Bad Beginning as having warts on his chin. The Bald-Headed Man met his end in Book the Ninth, The Carnivorous Carnival, when he was eaten by lions along with Madame Lulu. ...more on Wikipedia about "Count Olaf's theatre troupe"

Esmé Gigi Geniveve Squalor is a fictional character from the highly popular A Series of Unfortunate Events book series by Lemony Snicket. She is the city's sixth-most-important financier, and portrayed as an unpleasant woman. Her snobbish nature is clearly demonstrated by her obsession with what's fashionable — or, as she says, "in." This can be as innocuous as parsley soda or as inconvenient as elevators being "out," forcing visitors to walk up to her apartment. When she adopts the Baudelaires (supposedly because orphans were "in" at the time) she lives with her husband Jerome in an enormous apartment on the 66th floor of 667 Dark Avenue. ...more on Wikipedia about "Esmé Squalor"

Isaac "Ike" Anwhistle is a fictional character from the A Series of Unfortunate Events book series by Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler). Little is known about him, other than that he was married to Josephine Anwhistle, he had a brother named Gregor, and he was a founder of V.F.D. He died a miserable and depressing death, because he only waited 45 minutes before going into Lake Lachrymose (the lake is infested with man eating leeches and you have to wait one hour after eating before going in the lake or you will eaten by the leeches). Ike was not only Aunt Josephine's husband but her best friend and partner in grammar, and the only person Aunt Josephine knew who could whistle Beethoven's Forth Quartet with crackers in his mouth. Ike was also Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire's second cousin. In The Slippery Slope, there is also a mention that Ike was the one who threw the sugar bowl out the window when the headquarters was on fire and watching it drift down Stricken Stream. This might speculate that Ike did die in a fire instead of fire, but this is unlikely. ...more on Wikipedia about "Ike Anwhistle"

In The Vile Village, Sunny takes her first steps, and then in The Slippery Slope, Sunny goes through a rite of passage, leaving her baby-hood, and growing into a young girl who is quite a remarkable chef.
