The Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art is located on Lighthouse Hill in Staten Island New York. The Museum is housed in two fieldstone buildings designed to resemble a Himalayan monastery. The museum was built between 1945 and 1947 with the patronage of Jacqueline Klauber (maiden name: Edna Koblentz), wife of Harry Klauber. She was an actress and Asian art dealer known professionally by the name Jacques Marchais. The Japanese American National Museum, located in the Little Tokyo area near downtown Los Angeles, California, is devoted to preserving the history and culture of Japanese-Americans. The museum is home to a moving image archive, which contains over 100,000 feet of 16mm and 8mm home movies of Japanese-Americans from the 1920s to the 1950s. The S. Dillon Ripley Center, better known simply as the Ripley Center, is one of the buildings of the Smithsonian Institution series of museums located in the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The above-ground portion is only a small pagoda, and it descends into a larger underground portion. The Ripley Center houses the International Gallery, The Smithsonian Associates and the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition Service. It contains a conference center and meeting rooms as well. The Seattle Asian Art Museum is a museum of Asian art located inside Volunteer Park on Seattle, Washington USA's Capitol Hill. Part of the Seattle Art Museum, SAAM occupies the 1933 Art Deco building which was originally home to the Seattle Art Museum's main collection. In 1991 the main collection moved to a newly-constructed Seattle Art Museum building in downtown Seattle, at which time the Seattle Asian Art Museum was created.
