The Atari Mindlink was an unreleased controller for the Atari 2600. It was intended for release in 1984. The Mindlink was unique in that to control the game, you had to move the muscles in your head to control the game. These movements would be read by infrared sensors and transferred as movement in the game. Games would be similar to ones that used the paddle controller, but with the Mindlink instead. Though the Mindlink was an interesting idea, it was not executed well, and way before it's time. Testing showed that players frequently got headaches moving their eyebrows around to play the game. Though Atari could have refined and perfected the device over time, Atari simply decided to shelve the Mindlink. 2 games were in development for the Mindlink by it's cancellation, Bionic Breakthrough & Mind Maze. Bionic Breakthrough was basically Breakout controlled with the Mindlink, while Mind Maze was an attempt to use ESP through the Mindlink to predict what is printed on cards, which admittedly didn't work. Neither game would see release in a joystick or paddle controlled form in later years, partly due to the failing video game industry, partly due to the games' limited appeal. ...more on Wikipedia about "Atari Mindlink"

Bernard "Bernie" Stolar worked in the video game industry for several important companies. His career started at Atari where he worked initially in the coin-op arcade division and eventually moved over to the home division being in charge of platforms like Atari Lynx. Before the US release of the PlayStation game console, Sony made Stolar the first president of SCEA and in charge of the PlayStation platform. Stolar ruled with an iron fist and forced some unpopular policies with regard to titles licensed including a "no-RPG" policy seeing as RPGs at the time were almost all 2D, didn't sell well in North America and in his opinion failed to show the power of the PlayStation in a positive light. ...more on Wikipedia about "Bernie Stolar"

Kee Games was an arcade game manufacturer that released games from 1973 to 1978. Kee was headed by Joe Keenan, a long-time friend of Atari founder Nolan Bushnell. In reality, Kee Games was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Atari, created in response to the pinball and arcade distributors of the time who demanded exclusivity deals.
