(Arena Motorsport) Mike Earle founded this team to race in the BTCC. The first season was in 1999, running a year-old Renault for Russell Spence and later the former champion Will Hoy. The team disappeared from the series for a while, but in 2001 approached Honda about running a Honda Civic on an independent basis. Honda was so impressed at the proposal that they gave the team full manufacturer support, and it entered in 2002 with promising dirvers Alan Morrison and Andy Priaulx. There was some initial success, and in 2003 Matt Neal finished 3rd in the standings for them, at which point Honda reduced their support, leaving the team to run a single car for the well-funded Tom Chilton. Although the car is now outdated compared to the Honda Integra raced by Neal's Team Dynamics, Chilton has taken 3 wins in 2005 so far. ...more on Wikipedia about "Arena Motorsport"

The North American Racing Team (also known as NART) was created by Luigi Chinetti to promote the Ferrari marque in America through success in Gran Turismo (endurance) motorsport. It was created in 1958 when Chinetti received backing from wealthy racers George Arents and Jan de Vroom. Because Ferrari already had a close relationship with Chinetti due to his success in selling the maker's road cars in America, he received a continuous line of excellent Ferrari racers. NART raced at only the world's premiere races, such as the 24 Hours of Daytona in Florida and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in Le Mans, France. Their first race was the 12 Hours of Sebring in March of 1958, where they raced a 250 GT. The peak of NART's racing success came in 1965, when a NART-sponsored 250 LM became the last Ferrari to win Le Mans outright. Other famous NART wins include the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1967, finishing 3 race-prepped 365 GTB4s in 1-2-3 order; because of the achievement, the car will forever retain the name "Daytona." ...more on Wikipedia about "North American Racing Team"
