The 55th Miss World Pageant took place on December 10, 2005 in Sanya, China for the third consecutive year. This was one of the most unique pageants to be hosted in the history of Miss World by pageant chairwoman Mrs. Julia Morley. A beauty contest or beauty pageant is a competition between people that is based largely, though not always entirely, on the beauty of their physical appearance. All contestants have to be at least 17 years old and can't be over 25 years old (similar to Miss Hong Kong). You have to win their city pageant in order to represent their city in Hong Kong. This pageant is usually held in January/February. The number of contestants range from 17 to 27. The first winner was from Hong Kong Miss Michelle Reis. She is known for the most beautifulest Miss Hong Kong. For the most top 3 placements it goes to Hong Kong with 11. However Vancouver has the honor to be the most beautiful Miss Chinese International City and has a total number of 4 winners in the last 5 years(back to back!).
