Esoteric Christianity The Age of Aquarius (starting around the 27th century) is one of the twelve astrological ages. According to different astrologers' calculations, probable approximated dates for entering the Age of Aquarius may be A.D. 2638 (Elsa M. Glover), A.D. 2654 ( Max Heindel) or A.D. 2680 (Shepherd Simpson); yet all of them quite close to each other, taken into consideration that they are calculations about an event taking place six centuries from now. ...more on Wikipedia about "Age of Aquarius"

Steiner described his approach as "soul-observations using scientific methodology". (Steiner, [1893] 1995). His ideas have their roots in the flowering of Germanic culture that resulted in the transcendent philosophy of Hegel, Fichte and Schelling, on the one hand, and the poetic and scientific works of Goethe, upon whom Steiner draws heavily, on the other. ...more on Wikipedia about "Anthroposophy"

The Winged Self is a symbol in Esoteric Christianity.
==Purpose and Symbology==
"The purpose of The Winged Self Symbol is to focus thought in the inner Divine perfection of each individual. The Cross of Light holds us in perfect equilibrium with its inflow and outflow of Cosmic Energies, through the open ends of the arms. The Cross balances us in thought and feeling and word. It is a Rosicrucian symbol used to identify one with another when travelling in "Foreign Countries". In the inner Planes the symbol is an identification, and those marked with it can always be served with protection and guidance. The four arms of the Cross denote our four vehicles. Physical body, Vital body, Desire body and the Mind. These radiate from the center from which they manifest. They are located in the World of Life Spirit, the Home of the Christ. The white Rose at the center symbolizes the impersonal, selfless love of the Christ. Each petal is a quality, or virtue unfolding in us. The wings uplifted, beat ever higher when we give and serve others. When wings are folded, they gain strength by listening and receiving." ( Rosicrucian Fellowship Esoteric Students)
The accompanying painting is by an unknown esoteric student in late 1930's. It is located in the New Age Bible and Philosophy Center, 1139 Lincoln Boulevard, Santa Monica, CA 90403, USA.
==Prayer of the Winged Self==
Our God who art our Winged Self
It is Thy will in us that willeth
It is Thy desire in us that desireth
It is Thy urge in us, that would
Turn our nights, which are Thine
Into days, which are Thine also.
We cannot ask Thee for aught
For Thou knowest our needs
Before they are born in us.
Thou art our need
And in giving us more of Thyself
Thou givest all.
- Kahlil Gibran

The Twelve Holy Days is the holy period, from December 26th to January 6th, in the esoteric and astrological interpretation of the Christmas season. The night between the 24th and 25th of December is considered to be the most "holy night", when the sun (the "Light of the World") commences its journey from the south to the north. On the night when he commences his northward journey the zodiacal sign virgo, the celestial virgin (the "Queen of Heaven"), stands upon the eastern horizon at midnight (thus he is "born of a virgin" without other intermediary, hence, "immaculately conceived.") . On December 25th the Christ enters the heart of earth and the planet is swept by powerful solstitial radiations, becoming enveloped by the light of the archangelic Christ and therefore Christmas is considered the most "holy day" of the year. From December 26th to January 6th the twelve zodiacal hierarquies work upon the earth and its life forms, along with the Christ light which continues throughout the twelve holy days. The night of January 6th is regarded as the Twelfth Night, the time when the "Rite of Baptism" was performed in early Christianity. This period of twelve-day interval, between Christmas and Twelfth Night, is regarded as the spiritual heart of the year to follow and is termed the year's "Holy of Holies" .
