Originally a law enforcement agency, Peacekeepers are now a military organization, which employs their people as mercenary soldiers. For a price, they will serve as the military force for planets that lack one, though this arrangement usually is more advantageous to the Peacekeepers than to their "clients." Its members are composed mostly of Sebaceans, the half-breed Scorpius being a notable exception. Their children are raised aboard the Command Carriers in which they are destined become Peacekeeper soldiers indoctrinated at a very young age.
