Herbie is the name given to an L87 pearl white 1963 Volkswagen Type 1 Deluxe Sunroof with a yellow-on-black California license plate OFP 857 which has appeared in a number of Disney films since 1969. Also known as " The Love Bug", Herbie is a car with a mind of its own and performance far exceeding that of a standard Volkswagen - and many other cars as well - to make it a serious contender in car racing. Herbie is capable of driving himself, but we never get a hint about his origins. Herbie is painted in a pearl white colour with red, white and blue racing stripes, and sports a big racing-style number "53" on the front bonnet and doors. KARR (the Knight Automated Roving Robot), is a villain from the Knight Rider television series. He is the prototype version of KITT, designed first by Wilton Knight and built by Knight Industries. He is very gullible and inexperienced, viewing the world more like a child, although he ultimately believes himself superior and unstoppable. He was obviously aware of KITT's construction before he was deactivated and displays anger and annoyance about having a "twin" brother, and views KITT as an "inferior production line copy". ...more on Wikipedia about "KARR"
