Francisco Mañalac, popularly known as Bamboo, is the former vocalist of the Pinoy rock band Rivermaya. After leaving the band to stay in Los Angeles, USA for 5 years, he returned to the Philippines to form his own band, Bamboo. Bamboo won the band of the year in the MTV Pilipinas Awards 2004 and NU Rock Awards 2004. He is also the Vocalist of the year in the 2004 NU Rock Awards. He also got the Rock Style Award for the 2004 MTV Style Awards.
