99 Posse are an Italian hip hop group from Naples. They rap both in Italian and in the local Naples dialect. Most of 99 Posse's songs deal with political or social issues, and they are considered to be left-wing hardliners. As a showing of their activism, all of their albums have beens released with a "prezzo politico" (political price), each CD displaying a sticker saying "Don't pay more than..." For 99 Posse, this means "putting into practice a specific understanding about their relationship with the market, a sort of ideal practice." Articolo 31 is a popular band in Italy, melding hip hop, funk, rap and traditional Italian musical forms. They are one of the most popular European rap groups. Members are rapper J Ax and DJ Jad; their producer is Franco Godi who produced the music for the Signor Rossi animated series. They took their name from the Irish constitutional law guaranteeing freedom of the press. They moved from pure hip hop to hip hop with many influences from rock (sampling Bob Dylan), klezmer (sampling the Klezmatics) etc. to a rock/pop-inspired kind of rap. With "Domani smetto" they left the world of hip hop per se, rapping and singing to rock/pop tracks. They worked together with Kurtis Blow on the album "XChé SI!", which also included an electro track. Assassin is a French hardcore rap group. The pioneering group was formed in the late 1980s by Rockin' Squat (real name Mathias Cassel) and Solo. Later, Doctor L joined them, as well as DJ Clyde. Atmosphere is a Minnesota rap group, formed around 1994. At its creation, the group was called Urban Atmosphere. Atmosphere originally consisted of Spawn (emcee) ANT (producer) and Slug (DJ at the time). After the Spawn left the group (now rapping under the name Rek The Heavyweight) the line up was set, with Slug, ANT and a rotating DJ. Currently the group consists of rapper Slug (Sean Daley), producer Ant (Anthony Davis), and Touring DJ Mr. Dibbs (Brad Forste). They are widely considered to be one of the most successful underground rap groups. Audio Two were a late 1980s rap due consisting of brothers Milk D. and DJ Gizmo. Breaking out with their first hit, " Top Billin'", they would follow that up with a full length release titled " What More Can I Say?". Following in their footsteps were Milk and Giz's sister, better known to the rap world as MC Lyte who also garnered some success with the release of several albums. Despite a promising start the Audio Two stalled with their sophomore effort, I Don't Care: The Album. By this time, neither did their fans and it sold poorly.
