Manarola is the second town in the Cinque Terre from La Spezia. It is not as big as Riomaggiore and not as small as Corniglia. The locals are friendly and there is a welcoming atmosphere. They are always willing to sing a "Manarola Blues" at a local tavern. In the summer months, as in all the Cinque Terre, there has been a dramatic increase in tourism, due to many guide books describing the region as "untouched by modern man."
