Over the Counter-Strike is a comedy machinima series filmed using the video game Counter-Strike: Source. The machinima premiered in late 2004 with a small teaser trailer made available on the Red vs Blue site forums. It received mixed reviews, some citing it as an obvious copy of Red vs Blue, others praising it for its rare production quality that was rarely found in non- Rooster Teeth machinimas. As of December 2005, the series' website was no longer available due to the domain expiring. The series has a small cult following to this day, although the creators have denied that there is any chance of bringing the series back, citing a fall-out between some of the actors. Rooster Teeth Productions is a production group from Buda, Texas, near Austin, Texas, that specializes in machinima movies. So far, they have created Red vs Blue: The Blood Gulch Chronicles, The Strangerhood, and, more recently, the mini-series PANICS. The Rooster Teeth team originally operated a website called "Drunkgamers.com", where gameplay videos featuring voice-overs would set the way for their future work. The Strangerhood is a machinima video web comic series made by Rooster Teeth Productions. The animation is made using the computer game The Sims 2 and is a parody of sitcoms and reality television. The series, the name of which is a combination of Stranger and Neighbourhood, details the lives of eight "assorted stereotypes" who wake up living in a neighbourhood called Strangerhood Lane, with no memory of who they are, where they are, or how they got there.
