Assassin of Youth ( 1937) is a exploitation film directed by Elmer Clifton, which is a pre- WWII movie about the ill effects of marijuana. The movie is often considered a clone of the much more famous Reefer Madness (sharing cast member Dorothy Short). The thriller reflects perfectly the hysterical anti-drug propaganda of its time, which tried to make spectators believe that "marihuana" was much worse than it actually is. ...more on Wikipedia about "Assassin of Youth"

A camera phone is a cellphone which has a camera built in. The world's first camera phone was the J-SH04 made by Sharp Corporation and put on market from J-Phone (Vodafone) in Japan in November 2000. The cameras typically use CMOS image sensors. This is due largely to reduced power consumption compared to CCD type cameras, which are also used. The lower power consumption prevents the camera from quickly depleting the phone's battery. Major manufacturers include Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, and LG Electronics. As of 2004, the resolution in Japan is typically in the megapixel range such as 2 megapixels, in Europe 0.3 megapixels ( VGA) is most common. In 2004, 60% percent of mobile phones in Japan have built-in cameras, and this is expected to rise in 2005. Previously, the highest resolution available was 7 megapixels on the Samsung SCH-V770. This has since been replaced as Samsung Electronics unveiled the world's first 8.0 megapixel camera phone , the WCDMA SPH-V8200. ...more on Wikipedia about "Camera phone"

Culture of fear is a term proposed in a variety of sociological theses, which argue that feelings of fear and anxiety predominate in contemporary public discourse and relationships, changing how we relate to one another as individuals and as democratic agents. Though each of these theses may provide different accounts for the sources and consequences of the trend they seek to describe, most share the basic claim that this is a relatively new phenomenon with important and potentially harmful implications. Many commentators who endorse this view are found on the political left, and some make more specific allegations about cultural manipulation by opponents on the political right. ...more on Wikipedia about "Culture of fear"

Exploitation films, exploitative films or trash cinema is the name given to a genre of films, extant since the earliest days of moviemaking, but popularized in the 1970s. Since the 1990s, this genre has also received attention from academic circles, where it is sometimes called paracinema. Exploitation films may adopt the subject matters and stylings of other film genres (particularly documentary films or horror films), but are themselves recognized as a genre by the fact that they typically sacrifice traditional notions of artistic merit for the sensational display of some topic about which the audience may be curious, or have some prurient interest. Thematically, exploitation films are influenced by other so-called exploitative media like pulp magazines. Evidence of exploitation films' influence on contemporary cinema is mirrored in films such as Kill Bill by director Quentin Tarantino, who is a declared lover of exploitation cinema. ...more on Wikipedia about "Exploitation film"
