The InterCity Express or ICE is a type of high-speed train operated by DB Fernverkehr in Germany and neighboring countries, for example to Zürich, Switzerland or Vienna, Austria. The Spanish railway operator RENFE also employs these trains, and the Russian state ordered 60 for new high-speed routes between Saint Petersburg and Moscow.
