In the anime and manga series Naruto a jutsu (術, "Technique" or "Skill" in Japanese) is a general term referring to any technique a ninja might use that not any ordinary human could naturally imitate. Jutsu rely on the manipulation of chakra - consisting of the body energy inherent in the trillions of cells in the human body and the spiritual energy gained from exercise and experience - by various methods, the most common of which is hand seals.
