Fruška Gora (Фрушка Гора) sometimes also called the Jewl of Vojvodina for its beautiful landscapes, nature and countryside is a mountain in the north of Srem/Srijem. The mountain got its name after the old Serbo-Croatian name for Frankish people - Fruzi (Frug=Frank, Fruzi=Franks, fruški=Frankish). Tara National Park is located in the mountainous region of western Serbia. It was created in 1981 and it encompasses Tara and Zvezda mountains, in a large bend of the Drina River.
