60 Minutes is a pioneering television newsmagazine on United States television, which has run on CBS News since 1968. The long-running program, made successful by noted producer Don Hewitt, has won eleven Peabody Awards, and set the style for a reporter-centered news magazine. The show has had numerous successes and controversies and had a profound effect on those interviewed and investigated by its producers.
