Kele Okereke (b. October 13, 1981) is vocalist and guitarist with British art rock band Bloc Party. He and Russell Lissack formed Bloc Party (formerly known as The Angel Range, Diet, and Union) and later recruited Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong, respectively on bass and drums. He met Lissack in 1998 in Essex, where Lissack had grown up and Okereke attended school. After meeting again at the Reading Festival of 1999 they soon formed the band Union.
