Saint Petersburg Metro Lines The Kirovsko-Vyborgskaya Line ( ), was the first line of the Saint Petersburg Metro, dating back to 1955. The original stations are very beautiful and elaborately decorated, especially Avtovo and Narvskaya. The line until recently when the Ladozhskiy rail terminal was opened, connected all of the city's main rail terminals. In 1995 a disaster stroke in a tunnel between Lesnaya and Ploshchad Muzhestva and for nine years the line was physically separated into two.
