Belhaven Beer is a brewery in Scotland, and until 2005, was the largest and oldest surviving independent brewery in the country. The present brewery started brewing in 1719 and is based in the town of Dunbar, East Lothian, thirty miles east of Edinburgh. Domestically, Belhaven distributes four labels of beer: Best, Best Extra Cold, St. Andrew's Ale, and 80 Shilling. The Best Extra Cold label is claimed to be the United Kingdom's first non-stout extra cold dark beer. The St. Andrew's Ale and Scottish Ale labels are exported outside the UK, primarily to the United States.
