Edmonds Underwater Park (EUP) is a local classic scuba diving site in the northern Seattle suburb of Edmonds immediately north of the Edmonds Washington State Ferry terminal on the Edmonds-Kingston route. EUP is relatively shallow with a maximum depth of only about 40 feet. There is a grid network of anchored ropes that lead to a variety of submerged features. There are several submerged shipwrecks including the large tugboat Triumph. The site is famous for very large ling cod, numerous large friendly cabezon, occasional octopus, many surf perch and rockfish, and a lot of invertebrates. Grey whales have been spotted by divers at this site. Entrance is via moderate surface swims. There is a restroom with diver dressing areas, an outdoor shower that is functional when the weather is above freezing. There is a 300-foot exclusion zone just north of the ferry terminal. Interstate 405 (abbreviated I-405) in Washington is a 30-mile loop route that bypasses downtown Seattle east of Lake Washington. The northern terminus is in Lynnwood and the southern terminus is in Tukwila. The highway runs through what has since become the " Eastside" technology center of Redmond, Bellevue, and Kirkland, making it an often congested commuter path. I-405 is known for its meandering "s-curves" through Renton. It intersects with Interstate 90 and a number of major state routes. Washington State Route 522 (SR-522) connects Seattle to its northeastern suburbs. Its southern origin is at Interstate 5 at the north end of the Roosevelt neighborhood in north Seattle, where it is a city arterial, Lake City Way N.E. Upon crossing the Seattle city limits into Lake Forest Park, its name changes to Bothell Way N.E. It continues through Kenmore and into Bothell, where part of it is designated Woodinville Drive. East of downtown Bothell, SR-522 becomes a divided, limited-access highway, with no name other than the highway number. From here, it continues through Woodinville then into unincorporated Snohomish County to Monroe, where it ends at the junction with U.S. Highway 2.
