Supercars The 2006 Venom 1000 Twin Turbo SRT is a recent supercar. Intended purely for speed and performance, this modified Viper is one of the fastest street legal production cars world wide. Only 24 coupes and 24 convertibles will be made for the year 2006, making it rare and exclusive. The Venom has enormous horsepower and torque, due to its 8.5 litre V10 engine which is set at the front of the vehicle. The Venom has exactly 1000 hp and 1100 ft/lb, which propels the vehicle from 0-60mph in just 2.25 seconds. 100mph is reached in 5.9 seconds, 150mph is reached at 10.9 seconds, and 200mph is reached at 19.9 seconds. The 2006 Venom 1000 Twin Turbo SRT has an incredible top speed of 255mph, or 410km/h. One of the keys to its shattering performance is that it is extremely aerodynamic, cutting wind resistance and allowing the car to go faster and accelerate better. Also, the engine is boosted by 2 turbo chargers, which allow the engine to develope more horsepower and torque. To purchase one of these vehicles it will cost $225,000, more than the average person can afford. ...more on Wikipedia about "2006 Dodge Viper Hennessey Venom"
