Dr. David C. Korten is an author and leader within the anti-globalization movement. He is probably best known as the founder of the People-Centered Development Forum and author of the book When Corporations Rule the World. Korten received an M.B.A. and Ph. D. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He served in the Vietnam War as a captain in the United States Air Force. After the war, Dr. Korten spent some time as a visiting professor at the Harvard University Graduate School of Business and later spent many years working with the U.S. Agency for International Development in Asia.
