Gorgeous George is the host of a public access call-in show in Richmond, VA. For years now it has been a popular pastime among some Richmond residents to make prank calls to his show. Many of the jokes made by callers to the show concern past events in George's life, from bailing Sue, who appears on the show and is characterized as George's girlfriend, out of an arrest for drug possession, to her hocking jewelry to fuel her drug habit. Many audio and video clips of the prank calls can be found on the internet. Ironically, the popularity of the crank calls, and recordings thereof, suggest strongly that Gorgeous George has become famous more for his horrible comebacks and lame put-downs in response to crank-callers, than for his show in and of itself. ...more on Wikipedia about "Gorgeous George (TV personality)"
