The Escuela Preparatoria Federal Lázaro Cárdenas is one of the most - if not the most - prominent high school in the city of Tijuana, in Mexico. It is the only high school ("preparatoria" in Spanish) administrated by the Mexican Federal branch. It is also regarded as having one of the highest levels of enrollment in the state. Each year, approximately 3000 secondary school students fill up application forms and the correpsondent admission exams in order to enter the school. Juan Soldado, the name given to Juan Castillo Morales by his devotees, is a folk saint revered by many in northwestern Mexico and in the southwestern United States. A private in the Mexican army, Castillo was executed on February 17, 1938 for the rape and murder of Olga Camacho Martínez, an eight-year-old girl from Tijuana, Baja California. KSON is an American radio station in the San Diego, California area. It broadcasts at 1240 kHz. It started its life as a country music station simulcasting KSON. Then it switched to Radio Disney in the 1990s. After that it switched to Vietnamese talk station. In late December, 2004, after vicious rainstorms, KSON's towers, originally erected in 1963, the top half of the tower bent downward, which blacked out the signal for 2 days. After 2 days of fixing the tower, their legendary '1240 KSON' had to be removed, so, now the antenna is shared with gospel music station KURS-AM and low power KBNT-TV, San Diego's Univision affiliate.
