Opened in Baltimore on 2 July, 1953, the B&O Railroad Museum is located at the historic site of the B&O Railroad's Mt. Clare Shops. Mount Clare is considered to be the birthplace of American railroading. The museum houses collections of 19th- and 20th-century artifacts related to America's railroads. Bandana Square is a small enclosed shopping center in the Energy Park industrial park in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It includes a Holiday Inn Express hotel and conference center and the Twin City Model Railroad Club museum, as well as a few restaurants. It was a conversion of early twentieth century railroad buildings (the Northern Pacific Como Shops) in 1984, and was intended to be a festival marketplace, though it was never especially successful, and so classifies as a dead mall. The Minnesota Children's Museum moved from Bandana Square to downtown Saint Paul in 1995, taking with it many visitors.
