Adobe Premiere Elements is a digital video editing software tool for non-linear video editing, published by Adobe Systems. It is a scaled-down version of Adobe Premiere Pro, for use mainly by consumers, and competes with similar low-end products such as iMovie and Pinnacle Studio. However, unlike many low-end products it can handle up to 99 video and audio tracks with the ability to have multiple layers of key-framed effects applied to each, providing a lot of the power of Premiere Pro. Adobe Premiere Pro, produced by Adobe is a realtime, timeline based video editing software targeted at prosumer and professional video editors. It is a rewritten version of their long-standing Adobe Premiere software and was launched in 2003. It is often included as an OEM package with video editing cards like the Matrox RT.X100. Version 1.5, released in 2004, adds support for High-definition video content, new project management tools, and new filters. This product now includes support for HDV along with support for 24P footage (most commonly, footage from Panasonic's DVX-100 and Canon's XL2).
