The name Children of Acid was coined on April 21 1998 (at 2:35 AM EST) to describe a group of people that formed in 1994 as a chatroom on IRC. The chatroom served as a portal for music lovers of Lords of Acid, Praga Khan, and MNO related projects. The channel on Undernet was #acid-trip, and AciD-HeAD was the eggdrop bot to keep control of the channel. In 1996 it was moved to a private network due to the steadily increasing volume, but the channel and bot names were kept the same. It wouldn't be for 2 more years that the group members of Lords of Acid would meet up with Victor 'Ven' Nolton and have PragaKhan.com designed. PragaKhan.com was launched on February 24 1998, after 5 months of work, and the chatroom started to increase in volume. The users who frequented the site were put on a webpage with their picture and some random information about each user. It was later decided, on April 21, that this chatroom of people would be hailed as the 'Children of Acid'. ...more on Wikipedia about "Children of Acid"
