World cuisine A cheesecake is a dessert which is either made of, or has a soft topping of, ricotta cheese, quark, twaróg, or more usually cream cheese, sugar and sometimes other ingredients such as eggs, cream and fruit, on a cookie or graham cracker crumb crust. Various other flavorings may be added, such as vanilla or chocolate, and a fruit topping, like strawberry is frequently added. Some types of cheesecake are custard pie, rather than a true cake, which leads many novice bakers to cheesecake failure. The above mentioned ricotta topping is used widely in Italy and is whipped with other ingredients to a consistency such as that of whipped cream. Often the base is more pastry-like, and the cheesecake is far lighter than a traditional uncooked cheesecake. ...more on Wikipedia about "Cheesecake"

Meatloaf is a meat dish consisisting of seasoned ground meat (usually ground beef or a combination of ground beef with veal, lamb or pork), which is formed into loaf shape and baked. During the Great Depression it was popular to add cereal grains to the meatloaf to stretch the meat; this has now been adopted by people who wish to eat a lower- fat version of meatloaf. It is often served warm as part of the main course, but can also be found sliced as a cold cut. It is in many respects similar to pâté, which is generally more finely ground, however. The meatloaf can either be placed on a baking tray or in a mold. The result is usually shaped like a loaf of bread, but other shapes, e.g. heart shapes are possible. ...more on Wikipedia about "Meatloaf"
